If you're an Iraq or Afghanistan Veteran, there are plenty of ways to get involved locally and nationally. (If you aren't an Iraq or Afghanistan Veteran, click here to find out how you can take action and support IAVA.)
First of all, make sure you're an IAVA member. You'll be kept informed about local events, veterans' benefits and services, and important legislation regarding Troops and Veterans.
Looking to get more involved?
- Write for IAVA: Once you become a member of IAVA, you are eligible to write for the IAVA blog, where OEF/OIF Troops and Veterans respond to the news coming out of Iraq and Afghanistan in real time.
- Speak On Behalf of Veterans: IAVA veterans regularly take part in our speaking tour at colleges across the country, and have added their voices to hundreds of articles and interviews across the country. Check out our Press Center here.
- Represent IAVA in Your Community: IAVA hosts local events across the country to help service members returning home, to spread the word about IAVA, and to educate the public about the wars.
- Join IAVA on the Social Networks: For those of you on Myspace, Facebook, and Change.org, become a part of our network by friending IAVA.
