 Scott Winkler, an Iraq Veteran and Paralympic athlete, sent us a video update from the 2008 Paralympic Games in Bejing, China. IAVA Members and supporters sponsored him on his road to Beijing.
The 2008 Paralympics might be over, but Scott Winkler and Carlos Leon continue to inspire.
Scott took a few minutes out of his training before the Games began to send us this video update from the "Bird's Nest" National Stadium in Beijing, China.
After months of intensive training, and thanks to the generosity of IAVA Supporters like you, Scott and Carlos were able to live their dreams at the 2008 Paralympic Games. While neither of them medaled, they each performed extremely well and continue to rank among the top athletes in their respective fields.
Here at IAVA HQ, we're incredibly proud of Carlos and Scott, and grateful that we were a part of their journey to Beijing.
