The event was held at the Holiday Inn on West 56th Street. It was the 12th Annual Military Order of the Purple Heart Dinner - NYC Chapter. The purpose of the evening was to honor Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans. Todd Bowers was the main speaker, he spoke on the meaning of the Purple Heart and what it means to each individual vet who earns it. I was there, along with Rob Timmins (IAVA Outreach Director), and Steve Kraft (IAVA Member Vet). It was a really good time. Todd was given a plaque for his speaking.
